Germany’s vibrant financial metropolis
Frankfurt am Main is primarily known as the most important financial centre in Germany and Europe. Alongside the headquarters of numerous prominent banks and the stock exchange, Frankfurt is also a large and central exhibition location. The airport makes Frankfurt an attraction for many tourists and business people. Guests notice the city’s landmark from afar; the skyline that gives Frankfurt the title “Mainhattan”.
Relax in Frankfurt old town
The Römerberg is a central point in the old town district of Frankfurt. This is also where the town hall, the Römer, is located. A number of sports clubs have already celebrated their victories and titles on the balcony of the time honoured town hall, including the national football team. The Kaiserdom and the well known Paulskirche can also be viewed during a relaxed visit to the old town.
Shopping on the Frankfurter Zeil
The Frankfurter Zeil is one of the most frequently visited shopping streets in Germany and one that enjoys some of the highest sales figures. There are two shopping malls and numerous specialist stores as well as exclusive boutiques.
